Chloe Irla
Chloe Irla is an intermedia artist, Chair of the Art Department, Director of the Honors program, Associate Dean of Faculty Development, and an Associate Professor of Art teaching digital and community based art classes. Chloe earned her BA in Studio Art at McDaniel College and her MFA in Multidisciplinary Art at the Mount Royal School of Art, Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD.
Steven Pearson
Steven Pearson is primarily a painter, but also works in other two-dimensional media, such as drawing and printmaking. He is the Joan Develin Coley Chair of Creative Arts and Expression, Director of the Esther Prangley Rice Gallery, and a Professor of Art teaching traditional studio art classes. Steven Earned his AA in Fine Arts at Fulton-Montgomery Community College in Johnstown, NY, his BS in Studio Art at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, and his MFA in Painting from the Leroy E. Hoffberger School of Painting.
Kateryna Dovgan
Kateryna Dovgan, Senior Lecturer of Art, earned her MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv, Ukraine, specializing in studio art, art conservation, and teaching. After a decade-long career in Ukrainian Center for Conservation, Dovgan moved to Germany and later to the USA. She began working at then Western Maryland College in 1998, teaching all fundamental studio courses: Perceptual Drawing, Life Drawing, Painting, Watercolor, Sculpture, Basics of Art Conservation.
Dovgan resides in Baltimore, Maryland, her interests include world art, classical music and opera, fine literature, travel, nature.
Walter Calahan
Walter Callahan is a photographer and an Adjunct Lecturer teaching Film and Digital Photography. Walter graduated with honors from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications with a Bachelor of Science in Photojournalism, and earned a Master of Liberal Arts degree specializing in the creative process from McDaniel College.
Nicole Diem
Nicole Diem is a potter and an Adjunct Lecturer teaching Ceramics. Nicole earned her MA in Education at Towson University, in Towson, MD.
Rachel Wojnar
Rachel Wojnar is a multimedia artist from western Maryland interested in queer ecology, entanglement, and healing. They received a BA in Art and Art History from McDaniel College in 2018 and an MFA from Hartford Art School in 2021. Rachel is an Adjunct Lecturer primarily teaching 2D Design Concepts, Perceptual Drawing, and Graphic Design I. Rachel has exhibited in the United States and Ireland.
